Re: gas prices, heads up for CA listers

Gas prices are way up here (CA) too but I just heard that  in the case of 
Chevron we can get something more than usual for our $ (well, less 
actually...which equals more).

For the next 2 - 3 months at Chevron stations we can get "real fuel" for the 
first time in years here in CA. (Chevron applied to CARB for an exemption cuz 
they say they can't refine enough of the CARB mandated oxygenated crap here.) 
No MTBE, etc. diluting our fuel...mileage up, pings down, time for a road 
trip...cost be dammed. 

Considering MTBE is leaking into the water supply of nearby Scotts Valley, 
maybe they should just give it up now instead of phasing it out.
