radio blows fuse

Hi.  The Bose radio in my 92 V-8 has just blown it's 
fuse (the 5A one on the back of the radio chassis) for the second time.
After replacement it worked for about 20 minutes this morning before blowing
the fuse again.

I've had a pop in the left rear speaker when the unit is turned on, but the
speaker is working.

What do you think?  Order up the re-manufactured replacement or look
somewhere else for problems first?
