re A/C recirc question

I investigated that for my 1988 90q.  Judging from the Bentley, it would be
a pain to rewire it.  You have to remove the center console parts to get to
the back of the switches.  You also have to pick up +12 somewhere there.  I
don't recall the details, but I decided not to bother unless I was in the
center console for another reason.  I did determine that if you wanted
recirc in winter, just push both buttons, because the ac won't actually go
on due to the low temperature.
