On this note, I saw a V8Q at a local parking lot a few years ago.  While
checking it out (very poorly maintained and a pig sty inside)the owner
showed up.  While shooting the breeze he showed me where the wiper motor
for the front headlights was disconnected.  He says he lost the lights
while driving through Conn. at night, while waiting for dawn at a rest
area a self professed Audi Tech offered to help.  Disconnected the
headlight wiper motor and the headlights turned on. He didn't sound like
he was pulling my chain, although I suspect.  Anyone with a bad switch
want to try this and let me know what happens?
