I'm in this process now. You have the ability to input a 4 digit code, or
a 3 digit code starting with 'blank', which equals zero. It will start out
as 1000. If you press button 2 at this point, it will change to 1100. If
you press button 1 instead, it will read 'blank'000. Consider that button
one allows input to the 'thousand field', button 2 the 'hundred', etc
