Are we talking about two different mirrors here?

The windsheild puck thingy that the rear view mirror mounts on is easily
glued on. BTDT several times over the years on different cars. (Has to
be done anytime a windsheild is replaced). There is a special glue
available at all auto parts stores. This one use item comes in it's own
applicator. You crush the glass inside to mix the chemicals. Be sure to
follow the prep instructions explicitly including marking the location
of the old one on the outside of the glass.

If we are talking about heated external mirrors, One could get
"standard" replacement glass and glue it right to the old mirror. The
heater element should be powerful enough to still work. Otherwise, the
correct part might be called for as suggested.
