This sounds like a de-tuned version of the S8 (only with the 5 valve 
motor, which I thought might up the hp).

S8 4.2L V8 265 kW (360 bhp) at 7000 rpm 0-100km/h 5.4sec
S6 4.2L V8 250 kW (340 bhp) 0-100km/h 5.7sec

Does anyone know how the weight compares between the S8 and 
the new S6.

Wonder what they will come up with for the S8 now that the new 
S6 has been announced.

s6 info for those who haven't picked it up already.  official from audi
it's a 5v quad cam v8 (the 4.2), with 340hp (250kw), and 300 nm at 1,500,
rising to 420 nm at 3,400.

based on the a6 4.2q of course.

no word on the rs6...
