Water pump on a 1986 4KCSQ

Hi.  You may know that my 4KCSQ has been overheating and I thank every body
for there help, But my friend thinks there might be a leek some where, and
that is causing it to loose coolant and over heat.   He thinks the leek may
be coming from the water pump.  Does any body know if this is possible?  And
if so How much would a new water pump be to have it installed?  And how much
is the water pump?  Could I do it my self?  I live in the bay area so if any
body can help me out that would be great.
