049 103 419 for the WR engine is 42.5mm long - 056 103 419A for the MB
engine is 36.5mm long.  I suspect these sizes are standard for the
2144cc 10V engines and the 2226cc engines respectively.

Yes, there is a shoulder on the replacement part that isn't there on the
original.
