Power mirror problem

I turn to the collective list wisdom...................
On my 4kcsq with power mirrors, I am getting a clicking noise from within the 
mirror assemblies.  Is this part (meaning the motor and/or linkages) 
servicable, or would I be better off searching for used units, since a dealer 
here in the Baltimore, Md. area is quoting USD187.00 for the left and 
USD355.00 for the right?  Any advice would be appreciated.
