If it's leaking then with the work involved to change the gasket you might
as well change the pump.

Hi.  I took a good look under my car after I thought it was overheating but
out turns out that it is just leaking coolant,  That is the reason the
coolant light came on.  My question for all you smart people out there is
how often does the water pump leak?  I think that is the problem, but I just
don't know
