If you were to put an Audi A4 and a VW Passat side by side and closely
examine the quality of the interior pieces it will become apparent
why the Audi costs more.  This is not to knock the Passat... it's a
great car for the money, and benefit from its A5 platform heritage.
But the Audi is a more premium car and many of the materials and details
show that.  VW wouldn't make money on the Passat if they didn't keep
the cost lower.
