Sounds like a chore. If I'm right, the timing belt also drives the water
pump. If "it" has been noisy since new replacement was installed, it's
probably not the pump, but a too tight adjustment on the drive belt.
Almost any car with rubber cam belt will  "sing" with tight adjustment. 

I'll be doing my front end soon too. I'm now at 90k. Good luck. By the
way, I appreciate the thread on the oil pump thru/bolts--didn't know.
