Re: Air Bag Expiration



I'm with Pantelis on this one.  Check with Audi for the appropriate air bag
service interval.

In support of my position, let me offer the following information:
I just finished cleaning my 99.5 A4 and I discovered a warning/information
decal on the B-pillar (inside the driver's door just above the rocker
panel).  Although it wasn't much of a warning decal (not very obvious), it
advises that the air bags (all four) are to be replaced after 14 years of
service (service = no usage).  I'm not sure why Bentleys would advise 15
years.  Furthermore, I am not sure if that one year would even matter...
