A3 spotting in US-strange circumstance

Greetings!
This evening, while sitting in the drive thru @
Jack-in-the-Box... I saw an Audi A3 come through the
intersection. Now, I've seen these and VW Polos all the time
in Tucson, AZ. Always with the CB antenna, AZ manufacturer
plates, and traveling in packs. So, it was odd to see one
with no CB, a young family inside instead of the grim solo
driver usually seen, and (weirdest) current AZ "civilian"
tags. Ending in CYW, indicating this one's been tagged here
for at least several months (they're sequential)...What's
up?

The Coupe's driveaxle problem was just investigated... I
have play in the flange, it can't be tightened. Happens on
both sides. As the 'box has been making no odd noises, I
topped it off with oil and said what the heck. Hoping for no
expensive noises...it was only a few mm of movement anyway.
