RE: exhaust enhancement - 1990 80q

the AAN thing was a joke - for now.  i'm only an ex-college drop-out.  i 
am looking for an inexpensive method of helping my exhaust out to get my 
engine breathing a little better than its current pneumonia-like 
situation.  i was thinking of getting one of these renowned 4kq manifolds, 
(i am going to try junk yards who don't know what they have before i go 
to listers i think.  sorry.) taking it to my friend's place where she can 
bead blast it for me and then lightly porting and polishing it 
with my newly-acquired standard abrasives porting and polishing kit.

i'm glad that i have the okay on the 4kq manifold and downpipe.  now all 
i have to do is to locate one and a 5kt muffler.  i have heard that these 
things 
are neary bullet-proof so chances of finding one at a yard are not bad.  
any advice on what to look for?  also, i was thinking of taking some 
high-temp engine paint and going over the muffler with it to increase 
longevity.  any BTDT?

as for the cat, i will figure something out.

thanks a lot.  anybody in central new york state wanna go parts picking 
around the 18th of august?  i know a couple of yards that had lots of 5ks 
and 4ks last time i was there.  i also know a great BBQ place in ithaca 
that is great for post parts picking pork partaking.
