RE: 87 5KCSTQ and 2312 code, resolved




    Just after I sent the last note I knew what it was. Based on comments 
from Steve Buchholz and Bob Myers I knew I was going to find a bad ground. 
Somewhere.
    I removed and degreased both of the ones to the engine. Then used 
dielectric grease going back together. While cleaning the braided wire I 
noticed that the valve cover nuts were all loose, which was probably the air 
leak I was l looking for.
    Now the car idles well and runs as well as it has in a while.
