I know a guy who was a US Huey pilot when Vietnam opened up. When it
finished, he got a job in Europe and didn't get back to the States for
years. He was last stationed on the US mainland in 1966 or something,
and got back in 1989. His van was still in his parent's garage,
carefully tended by his father - a 1966 vehicle with 3,000 miles on the
clock and street legal with no smog mods.
