Re: FW: Type 44 Antenna

Stuff happens, Nick. I guy I know acquired a 20-year-old car with a few
thousand miles on it that had been placed it storage in Pop's barn because
the owner was going off to fight one of our non-wars, and never made it back.

I just missed out on a Mercedes 300 SL roadster (a '50's car) that someone
had purchased for use at their second-home "cottage" during the summer, and
then almost never made use of it. This was in the late '70's and the car
had something like 12K miles.

A guy I once rented a house to had just taken his car out of storage after
spending five years in prison for hurting someone in a bar fight he swore
was provoked by the victim when he was rearrested for some threatening
behavior, and, because of probation, he was going back to prison for
another five years. His parents had to put the car back into storage, as
well as deal with his belongings and pay for my costs in rerenting the
house. I didn't hold them to his lease. I could see them spending a bunch
on legal appeals and then deciding to sell his car in several years.
