I had planned on using a slighly modified pair of headlight covers from GTS 
... you can order them from Pep Boys.  My former neighbor builds RC 
helicopters and has the ability to mold acrylic but that seemed like too much 
work to me.  I was reasonably happy with the GTS covers but they're not 
totally smooth ... of course, since they're not serving as the lens but just 
a cover, I'm not sure this makes any difference performance-wise.
