I just replaced my water pump on my 83 ur-q last weekend to get rid of a
leak and noise at idle. Well, the new pump got rid of the leak, but the
noise is still there. If you find the source of your noise please let us
know.
I have a hard time accepting the fact that the new pump is noisy, so it
might have had something to do with the way I refilled the system after the
job was done
I believe (now) that you should refill both sides of the thermostat, but I
only filled the rad side. This my have caused the wp to overheat and
damaged it. Let me know what you find.
Cheers
