removing driver's side O2 sensor (LHD V6)

OK, thanks to all who helped track down the correct O2 sensor for my V6
90.  Got that, got the passenger's side sensor out, spliced the
connector, put the new one in, and it's doing just fine.
Now move to the driver's side (left side...US).  I see the damn thing,
got the connectors unplugged, but how the heck do you get it out?  I
can't fit the wrench in there with no extension, but if I use an
extension the ABS computer is in the way.  Can someone who has
successfully removed this thing tell me how they did it?
