On those older cars that support it (KG engined 200Qs in the UK) you
have to take the cover off the two throttle body switches before
doing some test runs and then closing the full load switch by hand
while the engine idles.  The book says 4 seconds - I've found ten
more reliable.

If the car is going to play ball, the tach needle will go to 7000rpm
and the Check Engine light will come on.
