AOA won't pay for my Fuel Leak; please advise...

Fellow enthusiasts,

As some of you know, my 1993 S4 developed the known fuel leak behind the
fuel filter on the passenger side of the car. You know, the one that sprays
a mist of fuel over the hot turbo. Anyway, it's my understanding that this
is a frequent failure on UrS4s and there is a FAQ on S-Cars Online that
explains what to do in the event of this failure. I followed the FAQ, took
my car to the dealer, and contacted AOA for assistance. Apparently, they
have paid for this repair in the past, for other customers. Well, they
would not put me in contact with either of the two previously helpful
gentlemen referenced in the FAQ, instead assigning my case to another
person.

Anyway, this person called my wife last night and told her that AOA would
not pay for the failure. My wife is flipping out now because the car is at
the dealer, possibly already repaired, and we have no idea what this repair
might cost! Now my wife is upset, and if you had any idea what our
relationship went through to get to I place where I could get the car in the
first place, you would realize that I am now ready to bestow GRIEF and WOE
to anyone who dares to upset the delicate balance of her happiness.

So, what do I do? Does anybody know anything about product liability law?
What percentage of the cars have to fail, before it should be a recall item?
I suppose the first thing I need to do is request that anyone out there who
has had this problem with their UrS4/S6, please contact me with as much
information as you can provide (when, where, mileage, model year of car,
etc.). I would really appreciate that. That should go a long way towards
building a case.

If anyone knows the direct numbers of either Mike Decraene or Joe Bertrand
at AOA, would you please pass them along to me. Or, if there is a way to
give them my number wk. (512) 320-5524, I would be much obliged.

My AOA case number is: 990263030
AOA case worker is: Lisa Brown
Her direct number is: (248) 340-4688

I would be grateful for any advice or assistance with this problem.

Best regards to all,

Jimmy Pribble
