Re: AOA won't pay for my Fuel Leak; please advise...
Sounds like they've handed you off to the 'fixer'. Similar to the 'closer'
in sales. There may even be some of them on this list! This is the type of
business I thought was only practiced by American car companies. I guess
not. The whole idea here is to intimiate you into walking away with a
lightened wallet.
This sounds like an item that should be a Federal recall, if it isn't
already. If it is, then this is good ammunition.
I would be leaning into them hard, and don't deal with this person unless
they do a '180'. If you need to, interrupt the board meeting at AOA and
tell them about what you think of their decision to put a few hundred $ over
the safety of their customers.
Paint them an image of your car with 'built in' 'factory flamethrower' if
you need too. I would even go so far as to remind them of UA, pointing out
that this is much worse, because it's real.
