I am in possession of a late '92 S4 wiring harness that has lots of wires
for connection to an auto transmission! What's more the Bentley
documentation makes references to the importance of the vehicle speed sensor
with regard to the auto transmission. Not to mention the references in the
wiring diagrams. If there wasn't an auto, it certainly was in the design.
