Frustrating Electrics on 4KSQ

I am still battling the backup light system on the 1984.  Some of you helped
me with it earlier, but to no avail.  Well, no grounds that I can tell.  New
switches (why two of them?).  Power to the box.  Fuse is fine.  Is there a
relay somewhere for this (why would there be?)?  I can't find any shorts or
cuts. Got power in, but no power from the box.  Checked at the trunk where
the wires enter.  Fine there.  Any other ideas?  I am totally out of ideas.
