Hi.
I know that here in Denmark it's possible to retrofit the 3rd seat.
Model year didn't seem to be an issue.
Price for 'bout 2yrs ago was approx. $1000-$1100.

Retrofit requires some welding on the chassis to be done, wich is why it is
better to buy a factory-equipped model.
(if you can find one).
