I believe your clutch master cylinder is under the dash, Bob.  At least
that's where it is on my 4k and 5k cars.   Not easy to service.

Regarding your "observation", I've been reading here since last fall, and
I've noticed that most contributors seem to "have a life" other than their
Audi:  They can't all read everything every day and respond with their
helpful expertise.  If there's no response to a question (maybe I should
say reasonable inquiry) that seems like something someone would have advice
about, it may be that those experienced in that area are not able to read
or respond at that particular time.
