Let me guess: the lower speed (which I'm missing) is
switched by the relay in the aux panel, right?

How do I get in there? The one drawing I have that shows
it looks like it's up there behind the left dash vent...
Also, there's a relay just sitting on a ledge up in the 
footwell, firmly attached only to its wires. Hm.

For diagnostic purposes: What causes the lower speed
to come on - I assume A/C on as well as warmish
coolant temps (measured by what)?
While the A/C should turn it on, I guess, there's always
the chance that this function was butchered when the A/C
stopped working and the belt was taken off by PO, so
another sure way of triggering the fan would be appreciated.

Getting ready for winter (the 5k is my winter/another-car's-in-
the shop-or-in-pieces-here -car) - while working on the electrics,
I ought to finally put in the H1 lights and relay all the lights.
Did someone say the Autocheck just compares amp. load between lights?
