Todd,

In my experience with car audio... some manufacturers can be misleading when
rating the power ratings of their amplifiers. What you want to look at is
the current draw of each of the amplifiers and determine the normal current
draw. (Maximum current draw wouldnt be a cost-effective way to determine if
you need a new alternator because that maximum isnt normally reached for any
length of time. You would have to put a pure sign wave in at full volume to
reach it).

Phoenix Gold sells high quality accessories. At one time they used to sell
high output alternators... Their website is at http://www.phoenixgold.com/

My reccommendation is still a capacitor.

Are you killing the battery (hi-output alternator) or are the lights dimming
(capacitor) at high volume ?
