RE: High output alternators



well, it's two amplifiers, one monoblock that's putting out 750+ watts RMS
into 2 ohms and one that's putting out 120x4 into four ohms... Much mor than
enough to seriously tax a stock electrical system...

if you find any info on high output units (I hear Avi Meron is the person to
talk to) I'd appreciate it...

I doubt that you need another alternator if you are just replacing the deck,
even if it is advertised as "high power".  I assuming that you've added
amplifier(s) as well. Unless you are running 3+ amplifiers, it is usually
adequate to install a capacitor.

I'll have to do some digging to find my catalog that has the high output
alternators.
