If you can change fights, you might want to
save yourself an hours drive and fly into San Jose. Sometimes its cheaper
to fly there, sometimes not! As for a place to stay..........Monterey,
Capitola, and Salinas are probably out, and have been booked for months.
However it doesn't hurt to check out those towns on the web. If you
don't mind driving a little..Santa Cruz is
just up the road, but since it is summer (read high $eason) you
might do better looking in Salinas. Do you like to camp? Here is a
link to the Laguna Seca ticket page. It includes a camping ticket purchase
for 25 bucks U$D.
I am staying with family friends in Pacific Grove,
otherwise I'd be driving two hours back home to lovely Redwood City. Good
