Re: Tire wear on 4kq
Tire wear is one issue. Handling is another.
Michelin recommends putting the new tires on the rear.
Reason: New tires on the rear will tend to cause
understeer. New tire on front tend to cause oversteer.
Understeer is considered a more stable condition.

| Hello,
|
| Can anyone tell me which tires wear faster on a 4kq?
|
| I'm about to put 2 new & 2 used tires on a 4kq, & I'm
wondering if it
| matters whether I put the old ones in front or in back.
I'm sure tire
| wear is more even on quattros than on 2wd cars, but if
there's a
| difference, I'd like to hear about it!
