RE: '98 A6 2.8 won't start- mechanics are at a loss...



This is the product we use at the dealership.  The fuel pump is disabled 
and the v.i.c is fed to the fuel rail at pressure.  The engine runs off of 
the cleaner and supposedly removes all carbon from the valves,chambers,and 
pistons.  We go through 6-8 a week.

the audi tech bulletin recommends wynns v.i.c. combustion chamber cleaner
only.

You can try Techron (the full strength version) in your fuel, or perhaps
the Lubro Moly Ventil Sauber (valve cleaner fuel additive), available
at many foreign auto parts dealers (and places like Blaufergnugen,
New Dimensions, etc).
