Tom Nas' '98 A6 2.8 won't start...........

It seems to me I've heard there's a tech bulletin on this. At our shop,
we religiously use a product called BG Products 44K, one can every 10K
miles, dumped in the fuel tank. Keeps the intake ports and valves clean,
saves all that hassle. In the 20s and 30s they used to decarbonise or
decoke engines every 3K miles. Of course, it only cost about 30 bucks,
parts and labor. I thought we'd gotten past that.
