RE: Tom Nas' '98 A6 2.8 won't start...........

This is all well timed for my purposes.

I just put an APR chip(actually a whole new ECU) in my A4 1.8TQSM. I've
noticed the knock sensor cutting in when accelerating in higher gears. APR
thought this was due to carbon deposits. They recommended I try a BG
service which involves spraying some carcinogen directly into the air
intake(or maybe into a vacuum line to the manifold).

I might do this but I'm going to try the 44K first. The car has 25k miles
on it. Does anyone think this will solve the whole problem? Does the full
service solve the problem. It seems like doing the service wouldn't be very
hard if I could get the nasty chemical. Any BTDT at home?

Thanks
Paul Wilson
