Timing Belt/Water Pump Replacement
I have a 1989 200 Turbo Automatic with 150K miles which has been
meticulously maintained.
Recently I had the water pump and timing belt replaced(both genuine
parts from from Audi dealership)Both parts were not fitted by Audi
though.
After having driven less than 50 miles the temp gauge shot up and car
overheated. The car was towed back to mechanic who then Mickey Moused
it and told me it was now fine. Well it wasn't- my 200 overheated again
and now I fear the worse.
Can anybody enlighten me as to why this would happen ? Since I cannot
rely on this mechanic to correct this but need to know what he did
wrong.
