Amen to that.  IME it helps to poke out the recesses of the screw head
with a sharp pointy thing, and then tap the driver home with a hammer
before putting any torque on it.

If a tool strips I cuss and throw it in the bin.  If I strip (e.g.) the
drain plug on an 016 gearbox I cuss an awful lot more.

My own bete noirs are Snap-On.  My 4mm driver snapped off in a hydraulic
pump, leaving the screw head just nicely filled and squared off.

Unless there is a very good reason, I only buy FACOM these days.
