Back in the 55 mph days, I once drove from Alexandria to Richmond and 
averaged 106 mph in a tweaked BMW 530i ... you just have to keep a watchful 
eye on the entrance ramps and be careful, that's all.  :^)

P.S.: I also averaged 107mph across the top of the Texas panhandle and 86 mph 
from Phoenix to San Diego (405 miles!), both in an '85 4k of all things.  Of 
course, this is easy these days now that the speed limit's been raised to 
70-75mph but back then, it took some doing.
