Re: engine configurations/designations (was: I've got a problem......)
I find it interesting how people think that every six cylinder engine
must be in the "V" configuration. This, of course is due to the fact
that everything GM has made in the past 15 years has come with a V6,
unless it was a very small car.
Camaros and Firebirds of the period before the 80s all had straight six
engines in them, that was common until the modern V6 was perfected in
the late seventies and became more popular.
The V4 bit is right out, anyone who thinks that those are very common,
are nuts. Although my dad had a V4 once.....but that was his outboard
engine for his speed boat....an Evinrude V4, 110hp.
