Aiming Eurolights?
Morning all,
Spent a better part of Saturday afternoon installing the eurolights on
my '89 200q. They went in great, but ran into a few snags with trying
to get them aimed.
>From Scott Mockry's website
(http://www.sjmautotechnik.com/eurolght.html) I got scoop as to which
adjusting knob does what, but it would be helpful if anyone could tell
me which way to turn each knob for a particular adjustment (ie.
clockwise for up & CCW for down or vice-versa).
Secondly, if anybody knows how the adjuster assemblies actually work
inside the housing, I'd like to hear it. I think there may be a problem
with the height adjustment on my driver's side lamp.
No matter which direction (or for how long) I turn the adjustment knob,
the aim just seems to jump up and down (about 2 inches when projected on
my garage door 3 feet in front of the car). Almost like something is
stripped and it will only go so far before it falls back to it initial
position.
The light is currently aimed way too high and I consider it undriveable
for risk of blinding other motorists and p*ssing off the local
constabulary. Right now I have the passenger side aimed properly and
the fuse is pulled for the driver's side lowbeam until I get this fixed.
Any ideas or BTDT's greatly appreciated!

'85 turbo GT coupe (both euro's just fine)
'89 80q (no euro's here . . . yet)
'89 200q (currently "one-eyed Jack")
P.S. What does it mean when ONE euro light is still a hell of a lot
better than TWO of the DoT persuasion?!?!? <grin>
