I understand that the diesel Vanagons actually use the I4 diesel engine
similar to what's found in the Golf/Jetta diesels.  This means that
the gasoline I4 engine should fit relatively painlessly in there.
The aftermarket for the I4 engine is huge and there are plenty of
possibilities, such as a New Dimensions turbo! :-)
