Yeah but... the cruise has it's own vacuum pump on Audis. So does the
power lock system (actually a bi-pressure pump, sucks and blows, sorry!)
I shoulda answered earlier but I didn't. the cruise system is pretty
discrete, ie not hooked up to too many other circuits. It should be
"easy" to retrofit... of course by "easy", I mean compared to swapping
in a turbo motor.
You'll need the brackets and rod for the throttle linkage - and maybe a
different throttle body linkage set up.
You'll need to ascertain if your speedo has a place for the inductive
sensor that tells the cc unit your speed.
If you get those parts questions answered, then the rest of these parts
are needed, but should install easily...
Vacuum pump unit
Hoses
Brake (& clutch) vacuum/elec switches
Cruise control ECU (silver box the size of a pack of cigarettes)
Either the on/set/coast/resume switch from wherever they put it on your
model of car, or a custom switch setup (one SPST on/off, two momentary
normally off,and one momentary normally on should do it)
the harness for all the above
sounds like a great way to spend a weekend!
