Bad clutch bearing or bad tranny?

I'm doing an MC conversion in my '86 4kq.  I'm currently still driving the 
car  with the N/A 5 cyl. until the MC engine is ready for installation.  I 
want to fix everything while I'm in there.  Lately, I've been hearing 
strange buzzing noises coming from the tranny in 3rd and 5th gears only. 
 Does this sound like a bearing in the clutch or is this something in the 
transmission?  If it is the transmission, does anyone know where I can get 
mine rebuilt, preferably in the Pittsburgh area?  Any advice would be 
greatly appreciated.
