Buzzing points to the gears in the tranny.
Humming (more like a choo-choo train) to the throwout bearing.
The latter also manifests itself in the vibrating clutch pedal if
depressed half-way while the engine is running.

I would do the Red Line oil change before tearing up the tranny. Also
ask Brian Armstead where he gets his Millitec, an ounce of this stuff
might help too.
