Re: Type 44 temp sensor install

I have to do the same repair, ('89 100) but I want to go ahead and flush the
whole cooling system, because I know the previous owner didn't ever bother,
and no shop around here will touch a closed system for less than $150.

I am thinking that all it requires is to shut car off with heater on (allow
to cool), detach the upper rad hose and heater hose connected to thermostat
housing, then run garden hose in upper rad hose...

Also, paranoid about 'hot spots', but should I be? Overflow tank is higher
than cylinder head, so maybe not an issue.

Can anyone comment?

Thanks,

Chuck
