That _BLUDDY_ wastegate!

I struggled with that damn thing for hours before asking the list a few
weeks ago.

The advice was almost unanimous - stick a large straight pry-bar (also
referred to as a BF screwdriver) up the bottom end and just twist.

The engineering inelegance of this disturbed me, and I continued to
seek the true solution using a variety of manufactured drivers.

Sod it.  Shove the damn thing up and twist!

Next time - I'll listen.
