Brake Pedal Feel

    I was finishing up with the car today and tried something to check the
pedal feel.  I had my right foot on the brake and it felt solid.  Then I
revved the engine and the pedal sank in.  Then the pedal remained light.  I
turned the car off and pumped twice and the pedal was stiff as a board.
What going on, anyone?  I haven't got hydraulic assist.
