Tires for an 87' 5kcstqw
You have to decide if you want high performance tires or winter tires...
you can't do both!
All of the tires you mention are excellent in the dry and wet, but
horrible in snow. (SP8000's are suicidal in snow! BTDT. But a GREAT
tire otherwise.)
The only "all season" tire I can recommend is the Dunlop SP4000. It's
not a snow tire, but it's at least safe. The other alternatives are
high performance snow tires (NRW-H and Eagle GW's are my favorites) but
they're only average on dry pavement.
The solution? Buy two sets of wheels/tires! Dunlop SP8000's (a great
buy right now) for summer, a decent set of snow tires for winter.
I have a decent set of Eagle GW's 205/60/15 mounted on 5KTQ 6" aluminum
rims which I would sell for $150+ shipping. The tires aren't new, but
still have great tread (they have at least a couple of safe winters left
in them.) I'm only selling to upgrade my winter rims... since we use
them for so long here! I'm sure other listers have similar deals... why
compromise?
